(see photo) DOWNBEATS (mid-60s to early 70s): The original members (who played the 1st act of the Beatles concert in July 4, 1966 at Rizal Memorial Coliseum and played mostly The Rolling Stones tunes) were; Tony Jalandoni - lead guitar, Charlie Mielieb - rhythm guitar, Tonet Fabie - bass guitar, Eddie Reyes- keyboard/drums/vocals (manager) & Joey (Pepe) Smith - drums/vocals. When Charlie Meehlieb & Tony Jalandoni left the group, Wally Gonzalez and Mike Hanapol filled-in together with Eddie Reyes, Joey "Pepe" Smith & Tonet Fabie. The 2nd generation Downbeats had performed a benefit concert in Guam around September 1968 together with Bobby Gonzales & Vilma Valera. (see photos) DROP OUTS (mid-60s): The original members were Manny Levy (lead guitar/vocals), David Adona (rhythm/vocal), Vaughn Velasco (drums/vocals), Mario Reyes (bass/vocals) & Glenn Velasco (bass/keyboard/vocals). They were formerly called the "Surfers" and changed the band name to Drop Outs when they went to perform at South Vietnam. (see photos) DROP OUTS (2nd generation, late 60s-70s): Manny Levy (now residing in Minnesota), Ador Romero (keyboards), Ben Picardo (trumpet), Benny Natividad (trombone), David Ardona, Peping Adolfo (now retired & living in Metro Manila but jam occasionally), +Mario Reyes (bass, deceased), "Baby Yolanda" Yolanda Reyes, Jessie Lingasin (drummer/sax) & Pete Sagge (saxophone). DYNAMIC SOUL: (see photo) DYNAMIC SOUND (played at Okinawa early 1975): Dan M. Vito, Lead guitar & Vocal, (living now in Osaka); Gene M. (see photo) DYNASONICS (mid-60s): Vic Generoso (rhythm/vocals), Tony Generoso (bass/vocals), Rudy Garcia (lead guitar), Walter Pennington (drums) & Reggie Bueno. The group was managed by Fred Vitan who was also the band manager of the Bits N Pieces.
